Living wage in Kazakhstan reaches $111 in Sept

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Committee of Statistics under the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan has defined the living wage in September of the current year which is KZT 20,321 (approx. USD 111).
"Average living wage per capita was calculated on the bases of minimum standards for consumption of basic food products in September 2014. It has decreased by 2% if compared to the previous month. If compared to September 2013, the figure increased by 8.1%," says the Agency.
As specified in the Agency, the cost of meat and fish occupied 20.6% in its share, dairy, oil and fat products and eggs - 15%, fruit and vegetables - 15.1%, bread and cereal products - 7.2 %, sugar, tea and spices - 2.1%.
