ATYRAU. August 23. KAZINFORM - Today in Atyrau the city court announced the verdict in the criminal case of the murder of a woman (she was a businesslady) and her husband. The head of a criminal group, which consisted of 5 people, was sentenced to life imprisonment, and four other murderers were got between 18 and 24 years of the colony.
The crime was committed in the spring of this year in the village Kigach, Kurmangazy district. Breaking into the house at night of a businesswoman, the criminals wrapped the lady and her husband with duct tape and tortured for a long time. How then has been informed by the criminologists, the death was not from beating but suffocation. The group took money and gold worth of KZT 6 million 280 thousand.
The murder caused a public outcry. Best investigators were called to deal with the case. Soon the suspects were detained. They were residents of the village of Makaty. The group was led by a previously convicted of murder and having served 15 years in prison Abzal Dzhazshiev. The court sentenced him to life imprisonment. He will serve his sentence under a special prison regime. One member of the group was sentenced to 24 years in prison, the two will spend in prison to 23 years and one - 18.
