Legal status of Russian airbase in Belarus to be determined

MINSK. December 27. KAZINFORM - The terms of stay for the Russian airbase in Belarus will be determined by relevant bilateral agreements. The statement was made by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Alexander Surikov on 27 December, according to BelTA.
"The final location and the time for deploying the airbase will be determined. For now it is scheduled for 2014. Payment matters will be discussed among other things. Because in addition to the infrastructure the airbase is going to need electricity, water, and so on," noted Alexander Surikov.
"All things like that will be determined by relevant agreements between Belarus and Russia. Things like that cannot be available for free," the Russian diplomat added.
