Legal reform to play important role in modernization of Kazakhstan political system in next ten years: President
ASTANA. January 29. KAZINFORM /Rassul Bakhamov/ "Legal reform will play an important role in staged modernization of the political system of Kazakhstan in the coming decade", Head of the State N.Nazarbayev said Friday at the joint session of the Kazakh Parliament.
The President pointed out the problems in the law-enforcement system: ineffective management, conflicts of functions of the law-enforcement bodies, absence of proper control over their work and transparency in their activity.
The Head of the State called the Parliament deputies to set about parliamentary control over the activity and accountability of each law-enforcement authority.
"The quality of the work, indicated by increase of confidence of citizens, legal bodies and foreign investors, must be a criterion of the work", N.Nazarbayev said.
