Leader of Kazakhstan saw the sights of Tashkent
TASHKENT. June 15. KAZINFORM - Yesterday within his official visit to Uzbekistan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, accompanied by the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov visited several sights of Tashkent. In particular, in the afternoon, Nursultan Nazarbayev visited the monument named "Independence and Humanism" and laid flowers at the monument.
Then Nursultan Nazarbayev visited "Sheyhantahur" complex, where he saw "Sheikh Havendi Takhur" and "Tole" mausoleums, where Koran, the Sacred Book of Muslims, was recited.
According to historical data, Bii of Older Zhuz Tole actively participated in the construction of architectural buildings in the cities, where he was ruling - Shymkent, Turkestan and Tashkent. His name is closely associated with major events related to the history of the Kazakh people. Tole is buried next to his grandfather Khan Zhunis in Tashkent, who had ruled for 12 years. In Uzbekistan and in some regions of Kazakhstan the famous Biy is called Karlygash-biy.
"Independence and Humanism" monument is the national symbol of the people of Uzbekistan, and is located on Independence Square. It is decorated with metal sphere in ornamental pattern, which appears with the Map of Uzbekistan. Established in the early 1990s. In December 2005, during the reconstruction of the Independence Square the architectural monument was enlarged with sculpture named "Happy Mother."
