Last two kids suffered in mass poisoning in Karaganda rgn discharged from hospital
All the kids suffered from poisoning at the Children’s Special Social Services Center in Karaganda region are no longer staying at hospital. The cause of the incident that took the life of one kid is yet to be determined, Kazinform Agency’s correspondent reports.
Today, the last two kids taken to the hospital in a mass poisoning incident in Karaganda region were discharged.
As of today, 12 pupils have returned to the Children’s Special Social Services Center as they got better. The kids are under supervision of the doctors of the Center, the health department of Karaganda region said in a statement.
An investigation into the incident is still ongoing as the cause of the poisoning is still to be determined.
According to the prosecutor’s office of Karaganda region, violations have been revealed in the sphere of healthcare, fire safety, sanitary epidemiological requirements, and respect for social and labor rights.
On July 30 this year, several kids were taken to the ICU with poisoning at the Children’s Special Social Services Center in Karaganda region. One of the kids died.
Earlier it was reported that five died in a road accident on Karaganda-Astana road.
