Large fire killed one, injured four in Petropavlovsk - Emergencies Ministry

ASTANA. January 22. KAZINFORM A large fire occurred in a two-storey eight-apartment house in the city of Petropavlovsk, North Kazakhstan oblast, yesterday morning.
Four apartments were fully destroyed, two ones were heavily damaged. Besides, floor decks collapsed which led to explosion of a gas cylinder.
The rescue officers found a body of an 82-year-old woman during firefighting. Four more people were taken to a hospital with various injuries.
The firefighters evacuated 20 people, 15 of them were accommodated at Solnechnyi sanatorium.The fire was localized at 07:41 and liquidated at 22:02 of the same day, the rescuers say. Its area made 310 square meters. According to the Emergencies Ministry, the causes of the fire are investigated.
