KZT 80 bln spent for purchase of modern medical equipment over past five years

ASTANA. December 7. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ Modern medical equipment worth KZT 80 bln has been bought for Kazakhstan's medical institutions over the past five years.

Vice Minister of Healthcare Erik Bayzhunussov said it at a briefing devoted to 2011-2015 'Salamatty Kazakhstan' state healthcare development program.

He said that this program was a good continuation of all the previous programs in the sphere of healthcare of Kazakhstan.

The realization of 2005-2010 State Program of Healthcare Reforming and Development has been completed this year.

"We can sum up the results today. Over 300 hospitals have been built within these years; more than 5000 hospitals have been repaired. KZT 80 bln was spent for purchase of modern medical equipment for Kazakhstan's healthcare institutions. Thus, the unified national healthcare system has been established", E. Bayzhunussov said.
