KZT 60 mln - debt of Zhambyl population to banks

TARAZ. October 18. KAZINFORM- Zhambyl residents owe 60 million tenge to banks of the city. According to the analytical service of Ranking.kz, which conducts monitoring of the economy of Kazakhstan in the format of rankings at the beginning of June the residents of Zhambyl owed ​​to banks KZT 51.5 billion, or KZT 48 thousand each. Within a month the volume of consumer loans in the region rose to KZT 58 billion (about 54 thousand per person).

"Compared with 2012 the increase has been 43 percent, which is quite a lot. However, the similar pattern is observed in other regions of the country", says the manager of Analytical Services in Ranking.kz Lyazzat Zhunisova.

In her view, the large volume of consumer loans entail considerable risks. "About a quarter of the loans to the public can enter the registry of problem loans. In Zhambyl there is an ambiguous situation of arrears. At the beginning of this year individuals and legal entities exceeded on payments more than KZT 17 billion for a total debt of over KZT 100 billion","- says Ms. Zhunisova.
