KZT 47 mln for Ancient Taraz project

TARAZ. KAZINFORM Archeological excavations at the site of the ancient town of Taraz and construction of the Ancient Taraz Park with a full tourist infrastructure are the top priorities of the region.
About KZT 47 bln will be invested into the project over the period of 2014-2017. The open-air museum will stretch over 20 ha. The scientist have already discovered some 40,000 artifacts dated back to the VI-XII centuries, a medieval citadel, a mosque dated back to the VIII-IX centuries, a madrasah, foundations of residential buildings.
