Kyrgyzstan to open 128 industrial facilities this year

128 industrial facilities will be commissioned in Kyrgyzstan in 2025, Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov said, Kabar reports.

He said that a list of facilities that will be opened was determined, and the timing of their commissioning was discussed at a meeting of the Cabinet.

The minister also added that in 2024, 102 industrial facilities worth $800.8 million were opened as part of investment projects. In 2025, it is planned to commission 128 facilities worth $1.7 billion.

"We do not plan to open all the facilities in the fourth quarter. By the end of the first quarter, at least 1-2 large facilities should be put into operation. The number of planned jobs will reach 15 thousand. Openings will take place in all regions. For example, in Naryn Oblast, a total of 17 facilities will be launched," Sydykov added.

To note, Kyrgyzstan launched the construction of an IT city in its southern capital.
