Kyrgyzstan to construct plant for production of gypsum and gypsum plasterboard sheets

According to the ministry, the ceremony dedicated to the launch of a new stage in the development of the domestic enterprise took place in the village of Dostuk, Jalal-Abad region.

Speaking at the event, the deputy minister of economy noted the importance of this project for the future economic growth of the country. He emphasized that the implementation of this project will have a positive impact on the level of employment, improve access to high-quality building materials, and increase the revenues of the local and republican budgets.

Earlier, in 2024, a decision was made to build new production lines. This became possible thanks to the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Mega Union Industry LLC and the Chinese company Hengshui Decheng Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd.

Mega Union Industry actively supports the local economy, providing jobs for more than 70 people from the Suzak district and contributing to the development of a number of industries, such as mining, transportation and procurement of local goods. As a result of the company's activities, more than 40 million soms are annually transferred to the state budget.

Mega Union Industry LLC is a domestic enterprise founded in 2008. The main activity of the company is the extraction of gypsum stone at the Changyrtash deposit, the production of gypsum and gypsum plasterboard sheets.

Earlier, it was reported that Kyrgyzstan is set to host Gallops, world-famous horse expedition race this year.
