Kyrgyzstan invited to participate in EXPO 2017 in Astana

BISHKEK. KAZINFORM - First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Commissioner of the International specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 Rapil Zhoshybayev has met with Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan Altynbek Maksutov in Bishkek today.

Kazakhstani delegation, comprised of First Vice Minister Zhoshybayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan Beibit Issabayev, reps of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry and the Kazakh diplomatic mission in Kyrgyzstan, paid a one-day working visit to Bishkek. At the meeting with Minister Maksutov, Rapil Zhoshybayev extended official invitation to the Kyrgyz side to participate in the EXPO 2017 event and informed of the construction and development of EXPO facilities and infrastructure in the Kazakh capital - Astana. To date, 12 foreign countries have confirmed their interest and expressed readiness to take part in EXPO 2017 in Astana from June 10 to September 10, 2017. Mr. Maksutov said his ministry is keen to partake in the event and is ready to discuss all the details within the framework of bilateral meetings with the Kazakh side. During the one-day visit to Bishkek, the Commissioner of the International specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 also met with First Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Taiyrbek Sarpashev, Foreign Affairs Minister Erlan Abdyldayev and President of the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marat Sharshekeyev.
