Igor Chudinov, PM of Kyrgyzstan, pointed out that the relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have reached a high level and are continuously developed on the basis of good neighborhood and friendship. «The results of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz talks and achieved agreements manifest the aspiration of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to establish close partnership and strong ally relations. Today we have discussed the most important issues in the sphere of trade, transport and communication, agriculture, hydroenergy, water and tourism. Expansion of economic and trade cooperation with Kazakhstan is very important for Kyrgyzstan. Despite the world crisis, there are positive tendencies in the development of our economic partnership. The goods turnover between the countries in 2008 amounted to USD 600 million. It is good to know that Kazakhstan considers Kyrgyzstan to be an attractive country for making investments. Compared to 2006 when Kazakh investments into the country were USD 50 million, in 2008 they reached USD 333 million, with the environment for Kazakhstani business improving continuously. We have also touched upon the problem of manpower migration. I would like to point out the enormous role of Kazakhstan which gives our citizens opportunities of temporary employment and to conduct business activities. In this regard the Agreement signed by our countries will hopefully regulate and legalize the processes in this sphere», ? Chudinov said.
