Kyrgyz FM met with heads of diplomatic missions

BISHKEK. June 14. KAZINFORM /Yevgeny Novikov/ On Sunday, June 13, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev had a meeting with heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting focused on the situation in the southern regions of the republic and ensuring safety of foreigners got into the riots area.

As the Kyrgyz Foreign Office informs, R. Kazakbaev informed the meeting participants with the measures launched by the interim government to regulate the problem in Osh and Jalal-Abad regions.

It was noted that the interim government had allowed the police order to shot to kill in the areas where the state of emergency had been introduced in order to restore law and order. The decision was caused by non-stop clashes of ethnic groups and increasing number of victims among the civilians.

"The interim government announced partial mobilization since 13, 2010 for ensuring security of people and early regulation of the situation, restoration of law and order", the Head of the Kyrgyz Foreign Office informed.

R. Kazakbayev called on the heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in the republic to provide all-round assistance to the Kyrgyz nation.

In the course of the meeting the parties also discussed ensuring security of foreign citizens and their evacuation from the conflict zone.
