Jeenbek Kulubaev meets with permanent coordinator of UN system in Kyrgyzstan Antje Grawe
Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev on January 26 received Resident Coordinator of the UN system in the Kyrgyz Republic, Antje Grawe, Kabar reports.
The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, summed up the results of joint work in 2023 and discussed cooperation plans for 2024, as well as upcoming visits, international and regional events.
During the meeting, issues of implementation of the UN System Framework for Cooperation in the Field of Sustainable Development for 2023-2027 were discussed. The Resident Coordinator of the UN system in the Kyrgyz Republic noted her readiness to continue work on current projects implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
The parties discussed the need for further practical implementation of the national Roadmap for the implementation of the Five Years of Action for the Development of Mountain Regions, including by attracting investments from international partners and donors.
The Permanent Coordinator of the UN system in the Kyrgyz Republic positively noted the importance of such initiatives and expressed readiness to interact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the competent government bodies of Kyrgyzstan on the mining agenda.
Kulubaev confirmed the interest of the Kyrgyz side in the further development of cooperation, and also assured of support and assistance to the activities of the UN system in the Kyrgyz Republic.
In turn, the permanent coordinator of the UN system noted that all her activities are aimed at supporting the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, its government bodies and the population of the country.
Grawe, thanking for the warm welcome, noted the positive attitude towards expanding and strengthening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the UN system, and assured that she would make all the necessary efforts for this.
