Kyrgyz Ambassador to China: We are always ready to support Kazakhstan's initiatives within its OSCE chairmanship
BEIJING. February 6. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ "This year Kazakhstan has taken the office of the OSCE presiding country. This event proves adherence of the CA countries to the requirements of the Organization. It is prestigious and authoritatively to be the OSCE Chair, alongside it imposes great responsibility in political, military, economic and humanitarian spheres. Kyrgyzstan as the neighbor country of Kazakhstan is always ready to support its initiatives within the OSCE chairmanship", Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China Z. Smagulov says in an interview to a Kazinform correspondent.
Mr. Smagulov expressed confidence that Kazakhstan would consider the interests of the CA countries and promote them during its chairmanship.
Besides, the Kyrgyz Ambassador shared his view on the current economic situation in Kyrgyzstan. According to him, the anti-recessionary measures launched by our Government were timely and successful amid the global financial crisis. This is the merit of President N. Nazarbayev, he says.
Z. Smagulov also touched upon N. Nazarbayev's annual Message to the Nation New Decade - New Economic Growth - New Opportunities of Kazakhstan voiced January 29 at the joint sitting of the Parliament. "The Message defines the major tasks for the Government for the current year and the nearest outlook. Alongside N. Nazarbayev provides the Cabinet with an opportunity to be more active in the conditions of the changing conjuncture of the global market, to prevent new challenges and take appropriate measures if they occur", the Ambassador noted.
The Message reflects the current situation in the country as well as it sets new priorities and objectives for the Government.
Besides, Z. Smagulov says Kyrgyzstan considers Kazakhstan as a good neighbor and brother nation within the CA region. "Our openness to each other is of great importance, in order to develop trade and provide free movement. This is a very important factor for the CA since our countries need more integration", he stressed.
