Kuwait plans to open embassy in Astana
ASTANA. June 3. KAZINFORM - A working visit of Deputy Foreign Minister Kairat Sarybay in the State of Kuwait, where he had a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.
"The foreign minister of Kuwait said that the Kuwaiti government, taking into account the recognized international authority, the increasing economic and political potential of Kazakhstan and the current level of partnership, planned to establish an Embassy at the end of the year, to be officially unveiled coinciding with the first official visit of Sheikh S. Al-Sabah in Kazakhstan ", the statement reads.
During his visit to Kuwait K.Sarybay were also held a meeting with the co-Kazakhstan-Kuwait intergovernmental commision (IGC) on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Deputy Minister of Finance of Kuwait H.Hamada and CEO of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Abdeluahabom Al-Badr.
"Under consideration were the questions on the exit to the next level of bilateral cooperation, the agenda of the next third meeting of the IGC, which will be held in September this year in Astana. Great attention in the negotiations have been given to the issues of attracting investment and active participation of business circles of Kuwait in the Kazakh market and in the preparations for the International Exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana, " said the Foreign Ministry.
