KTZ President Askar Mamin: Export potential of "Uzen-State border with Turkmenistan" railroad to make up to 8 mln tons grain per year

AKTAU. July 21. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The export potential of Uzen-State border with Turkmenistan makes from 3 mln to 8 mln tons of grain per year, President of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC Askar Mamin informed of it yesterday while visiting Bastau point.
The total cost of the project is KZT 65 bln, 7.6 bln out of which have already been utilized. Putting the project into the service will allow creating 812 permanent jobs.
This railway section is a part of Uzen-Kyzylkaya-Bereket-Etrek-Gorgan international project implemented by Kazakhstan, Iran and Turkmenistan. The total length of the railroad is 686 km. 145 km of it run through the Kazakhstan territory.
