Kostanay rgn observes growing measles cases

According to the sanitary epidemiological control department of the region, 64.4% of the total measles cases reported in the region are reported among unvaccinated people. 14 measles cases were reported in those vaccinated.

As for the age, the highest proportion of the cases have reported in children before 14, followed by adults over 19, and babies and people aged from 15 to 18. As for the social and professional composition, 45.8% of the cases are registered in children not attending school, said the department.

It was also reported that 1,180 children against 2,400 received vaccination against measles.

Notably, the region has launched a measles revaccination campaign.
