Korean doctors to hold master classes and workshops in Astana

ASTANA. June 1. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ The specialized conference on development of healthcare and medical technologies - 'Medical Korea in Kazakhstan 2011' was opened in Astana today.

Specialists from Korea will hold master classes and training workshops for workers of this sphere in Kazakhstan for two days. They will also represent their new methods of treating spine column and cardiovascular diseases, tell about advanced medical technologies and achievements of Korea in this sphere, etc. Besides, the foreign specialists will share the information on planning and constructing hospitals in accordance with modern standards.

According to chief of the medical center of the administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexey Tsoi, Kazakhstan and Korea have been cooperating in the sphere of medicine for more than 15 years.

'The cooperation and experience exchange between our medical centers have been quite active. Many specialists from Kazakhstan have been trained in Korea. Korean specialists often hold master classes in the hospitals of our country. We express hope that this active cooperation will be positively reflected on health of our citizens,' he emphasized.
