Korean businessmen keen to foster coop with Kazakhstan
TARAZ. November 29. KAZINFORM Korean Ambassador to Kazakhstan Pek Chuhen met with Taraz mayor Bekbolat Orynbekov to debate prospects for mutual beneficial cooperation between Taraz and the Republic of Korea.
"I see a huge flow of Korean businessmen keen to tune up cooperation in all economic sectors of Kazakhstan," the ambassador said. "I hope that jointly with Kazakh partners they will find an opportunity for further mutual beneficial activities. There are above 1 000 Kazakh students are studying in Korea now. We may cooperate in agriculture and other spheres and invite Kazakh investments into Korea," he said. The ambassador also highlighted Kazakhstan's rapid development tempo despite the world economic crisis.
In his turn, Orynbekov told about the history of ancient Taraz, its current dynamic development and industrial potential, briefed on the projects of the new industrialization program, affordable housing construction program, drinking water program, etc.
