KMG sets a goal to produce up to 6.7bln cubic meters of gas by 2030

JSC KazMunayGas frames a strategy under which the national company plans to raise gas production up to 6.7 billion cubic meters by 2030 without regard to the major projects – Tengiz, Karachaganak and Kashagan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

As the press service of KMG informed, in 2023, the company set to the operation of Aksai Yuzhny, Eastern Urikhtau and Rozhkovskoye deposits.

In the nearest three-four years, the company plans to start gas production at the Central Urikhtau deposit – approximately 1 billion cubic meters per year.

In 2027, KMG plans to commission Zapadnaya Prorva and Kalamkas deposits with an expected annual volume at 1.1 billion cubic meters.

Together with international companies, KazMunayGas develops 12 promising projects and carries detailed appraisal of the existing fields.
