KMG, MOL Group strengthen bilateral cooperation
Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas and Hungary’s MOL Group discussed the topical issues of the bilateral cooperation and the plans for joint implementation of projects, the Kazakh company’s press service reported.
The issues were discussed at a meeting between Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of the Management Board of KMG, and Gabriel Szabó, Executive Vice President of Downstream at MOL Group.
The parties also focused on the prospects for the expansion of Kazakh oil supplies to the European market.
The sides reviewed the course of joint development of Rozhkovskoye gas condensate field, where 301 million cubic meters of gas and 222 thousand tons of condensate were produced in 2024. KMG is interested in acceleration of further development of Rozhkovskoye field under Phase-2 with a focus on local content development.
The opportunities of MOL Group’s participation in the implementation of petrochemical projects in Kazakhstan were discussed as well.
“KazMunayGas is keen on expanding strategic partnership with MOL Group to attract investments, introduce new technologies and exchange experience. We expect that mutually beneficial cooperation with our Hungarian colleagues will continue,” Khassenov said.
Earlier, Askhat Khassenov reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the results of the national company’s activity in 2024.
