KMG increases domestic content in goods and services procurement
ASTANA. February 2. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ KazMunayGas National Company JSC procures more than half of goods and services from the domestic producers, Head of the Company Kairgeldy Kabyldin has informed of it at the conference devoted to the problems of domestic content increase.
"Following the 2010 results, the total volume of public procurements in KazMunayGas group of companies made KZT 1 trln 595 bln. The share of domestic content made 51% or KZT 811 bln", K. Kabylding clarified.
According to the Company's press service, KMG purchased goods worth KZT 776 bln in 2010, 31% out of which or KZT 244 bln 700 mln falls on the domestic suppliers. The share of domestic content in the services bought by KMG made 75% or KZT 317 bln out of KZT 425 bln 700 mln.
The last year the oil and gas company entered into a contract on performance of various works to the amount of KZT 393 bln 100 mln in which the share of domestic content was 63%.
