Kite festival will be held for 15th anniversary of Astana
ASTANA. May 21. KAZINFORM - For visitors and residents of the capital on the day of the city there will be prepared dozens of events to mark the 15th anniversary of Astana. Each of the activities is distinguished by its uniqueness, novelty, and one of those special projects planned for this remarkable event will be the festival of kites, reports the press center of Baiterek.
"Kite Flying Festival is a bright and exciting event, that will be a wonderful gift to all residents of the city during the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Astana and diversifying program of activities. It will become a kind of impersonation and supporting the principles of "green economy", alternative energy sources, which in the context of the EXPO 2017 will show a desire of Astana for the energy of the future " say the organizers of the Day of the city.
The festival is aimed at the public and allows residents and visitors to have a great time outdoors and to take part in the event. Similar festivals are held in different countries: France, the UK, Denmark, China, Russia, Malaysia and other countries. And all these festivals gather a lot of visitors and exhibitors from all over the world.
The festival, which will be taking place for three days - 5, 6, 7 July, city residents and foreign visitors will be able to see the unique show program, specially prepared by representatives of the invited foreign kiting clubs.
In addition, everyone will be able to personally make and run his\her personal snake. In a designated area under covered tents, equipped with work stations, a special instructor will teach children and adults to make kites. Materials and tools will be issued on the spot. After that, the instructor will give a master class to launch kites made by gathered people.
The festival will finish with a gala concert with participation of Russian and world musicians.
