KHL: Barys ranked 5th in Eastern Conference

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys Astana have move one spot up in the Eastern Conference of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and are currently ranked 5th, Kazinform has learned from Vesti.kz.
Barys rose in the rankings after the 2:1 win over HC Urga in Khanty-Mansiysk on Wednesday night. Andrei Nazarov's squad with 17 points in their pocket surpassed Novokuznetsk-based HC Metallurg. HC Metallurg from Magnitogorsk lead the Eastern Conference with 32 points. HC Avangard Omsk and HC Ak Bars Kazan with 26 points each are at №2 and №3 respectively.
