KHL: Barys playoff hopes in jeopardy after another defeat

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - It looks like Barys' most disappointing season continues. Last night Andrei Nazarov's side lost to Avangard 1:3 in Omsk in the next-to-last game of this year, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.
Roman Starchenko of Barys scored the opener in the 24th minute raising hope among the fans. However, Avangard players soon fired the equalizer. And then Denis Parshin and Igor Mussatov gave the Omsk-based club the 3:1 lead. As a result, Barys failed to score any points in the game and remains 6th in the KHL's Eastern Conference. That puts Barys' playoff status in jeopardy. In their last game of this year Barys will vie against Traktor in Chelyabinsk on December 30.
