KHL: Barys off to a bad start in play-off series

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys Astana were crashed by Avangard 5:2 in the first game of the play-off series, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
The match was held in Omsk on Saturday, February 28. Avangard dominated on their home ice not giving Andrei Nazarov's side a chance to snatch the initiative. Konstantin Pushkarev of Barys scored the two goals for the Astana-based club. But that wasn't enough to win. The second Barys vs. Avangard showdown in the play-off series will also take place in Omsk today. The match will kick off at 5:30 p.m. Astana time.
