KHL: Barys not signing contract with Jiri Novotny

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys Astana are planning to sign only one legionnaire this season and it will be Slovak ice hockey goaltender Ján Laco, Kazinform refers to Vesti.kz.
Laco played for HC Donbass Ukraine in 2013-2014 season helmed by Andrey Nazarov, the newly-appointed Barys coach. The Astana-based club will not sign Lev Praha forward Jiri Novotny. Earlier it was reported, that Barys expressed interest in signing a new contract with Novotny who spent two seasons in Astana in 2010-2012. However, it was only speculation. On Wednesday, it was reported that HC Lev Praha have funding problems and there is a possibility that the club will not play in the KHL next season.
