KHL: Barys fall to Avangard in penalty shootout

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Barys Astana suffered their second consecutive defeat on road against Avangard in Omsk on Thursday, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
The hosts opened the score in the 30th minute of the game. Barys responded with a puck from Roman Savchenko only in the third stanza. The fate of the match was sealed in the penalty shootout when Chad Kolarik of Avangard scored earning his club the 2:1 win. Barys losing streak now includs defeats against Salavat Yulaev (3:5) and Avangard (1:3). The Astana-based club will play against HC Avtomobilist in Yekaterinburg on November 22.
