Kegen Turssynbayev appointed as Vice Minister of Emergencies of Kazakhstan

By a governmental decision, Kegen Turssynbayev has been appointed Vice Minister of Emergencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency learned from the press service of the Kazakh Government.

Kegen Turssynbayev was born in 1971 in the East Kazakhstan region. He is a graduate of the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command Twice Red Banner School, Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

In different years, he served in the Republican Guard and the Frontier Guard of the National Security Committee.

In 2020-2021, he led a department at the Consumers’ Rights Protection Committee of the East Kazakhstan region.

In 2021-2022, he worked at the Presidential Affairs Department.

From 2022 to 2024, he held senior positions at the Internal Affairs Ministry.

Since April 2024, he has been the Chairman of the Committee on Civil Protection and Military Units of the Emergencies Ministry of Kazakhstan.
