KBZF establishes maternity hospital in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. July 26. KAZINFORM The Khalifa Bin Zayed Foundation for humanitarian works (KBZF) has established a maternity hospital in Shymkent, the second largest city in Kazakhstan in terms of population.

KBZF has equipped "Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital", with the latest medical equipments in order to provide health care services to women for "maternity and childbirth". The project has been designed to accommodate 120 beds, including 12 intensive care beds and eight beds for newborns. The hospital contains internal sections, such as, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and sections of neonatal surgery.

The project aims to raise the level of medical treatment for mothers, infants and children and reduce the cost of treatment to poor families, Kazinform refers to WAM.
