KazMunayGas, ENI to build shipyard in the Caspian region

BOROVOYE. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's oil giant KazMunayGas and ENI are set to build a shipyard in the Caspian region, ENI CEO Claudio Descalzi has announced at the 27th plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council in Borovoye resort today.
In his words, the agreement on construction of the $400-million worth shipyard is to be signed today on the sidelines of the session. "We should continue to invest in Kazakhstan and promote local industry," Mr. Descalzi added. He also noted that construction of the shipyard in the Caspian region will facilitate development of naval operations and industrialization of the region in general.
