KazMunaiGas to perform works in Vietnamese coastal areas: Nazarbayev

Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev said it after the top-level meeting with his Vietnamese colleague Truong Tan Sang.

"Thanks to my visit to Vietnam and Vietnamese leader's visit to Kazakhstan, the bilateral relations between our countries reached high level. The sales turnover between the countries is expected to make USD 100 million this year. We are confident that our cooperation will only strengthen with time.

Today we have reached agreements in the oil and gas sector. KazMunaiGas JSC will perform works in the coastal areas of Vietnam. The Vietnamese oil company is to explore the areas near the Aral Sea," President Nazarbayev noted.

"We have also agreed that Vietnam will support Astana's bid to host EXPO 2017," the Kazakh Leader added.
