Kazinform News Agency, Tianshannet web portal sign cooperation agreement
URUMQI. October 23. KAZINFORM Kazinform News Agency and Tianshannet website of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region signed the cooperation agreement in Urumqi on Wednesday.
Prior to the signing ceremony, the sides exchanged views and discussed the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the sphere of mass media.
Vice Director of Kazinform News Agency Kalamkas Abuova, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region authorities, Tianshannet management, and reps of the leading mass media from Kazakhstan, China, Kuwait, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Turkey who came to Urumqi to attend the "China-Eurasia" mass media workshop participated in the signing ceremony.
"Singing of this cooperation agreement is our contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation between our countries and peoples," Ms Abuova said.
She also informed that Kazinform News Agency is about to launch the Chinese version of its website in 2014.
"With the help of this version and together with our Chinese partners, we will create an information platform, so that internet users from Kazakhstan and China will get to know more about the neighboring countries," Ms Abuova added.
