Kazinform Agency - winner of Nur Sunkar contest in 'Newswire' category
ASTANA. June 24. KAZINFORM Kazinform JSC National Information Agency has won Nur Sunkar republican competition among mass media in "Newswire" category. On the threshold of the journalists' day the names of the winners were announced at the capital's Congress-Hall.
Nur Sunkar competition started in January under the aegis of Nur Otan party and aimed at finding out the best mass media organization that most competently illustrated the activities of the Party. Journalists, cameramen, photo reporters participated in 18 categories.
"Today you not only inform of the current events, you play a key role in consolidation of the society, in forming world outlook, actively taking part in realization of the goals set by our President. We hope that Nur Sunkar prize will promote development of journalism in Kazakhstan. This contest will be held annually", First Vice Chairman of the Party Nurlan Nigmatulin said.
Besides, in the category of "Newswire" the prize was handed out to Interfax-Kazakhstan Director General Nayil Ishmuhametov.
