Kazgeology to 'save' single-industry cities

ASTANA. February 1. KAZINFORM Kazakh National Company "Kazgeology" will start geologic exploration and green field search around single-industry cities, with depletion of lodes," Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan- Minister of Industry and New Technologies Aset Issekeshev told journalists.
According to him, the exploration will cover areas near Zhezkazgan, in Almaty and Kostanay regions. He stressed that the plan is to cover the most risky and complicated plots.
"One of the tasks is an exploration and search for methane gas to determine precisely how much gas we have for industrial development", - concluded A.Isekeshev.
