Kazakhstan’s Zhanibek Alimkhanuly targets Canelo
Kazakh middleweight WBO and IBF champion Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, has expressed his desire to step into the ring against unified super middleweight champion, Mexican Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Sports.kz.


"I want to fight only with champions. I would like to face 'Canelo' for four of his belts," said Alimkhanuly in an interview with SI.com.
On April 5 in Astana, Zhanibek Alimkhanuly will defend his titles in a bout against French challenger Anauel Ngamissengue.
Alimkhanuly's last fight took place in October in Sydney, Australia, where he knocked out New Zealand's Andrei Mikhailovich in the ninth round.
As reported earlier, Kazakhstan’s boxing team has secured the first place in the medal standings of the Strandzha Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria.
