Kazakhstan's singles tennis campaign ends at 2024 Paris Olympics

Russian-born Alexander Shevchenko of Kazakhstan is out of the Paris Olympics after a defeat in his first match, Olympic.kz reports.

Kazakhstan’s Alexander Shevchenko lost to Jakub Menšík of the Czech Republic in a two-set match 6-3, 6-4 in the first round of the Olympic tennis singles.

This ends the country’s singles tennis campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Earlier, Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan suffered a defeat from world no.11 Taylor Fritz of the US.

It was earlier reported that Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina and Yulia Putintseva bowed out of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Kazakhstani Alexander Bublik and Aleksandr Nedovyesov will defend the country’s colors in the doubles’ events.
