Kazakhstan’s Rybakina down in latest WTA Singles Ranking
The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has presented an updated list of athletes’ singles and doubles rankings, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.
Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka remains the top tennis player in the WTA Singles Rankings remained, followed by Pole Iga Swiatek. American Coco Gauff is ranked 3rd.
Kazakhstan's Rybakina, who failed to defend her Mubadala Abu Dhabi title, lost two spots, landing the 7th line.
Rybakina lost to Belinda Bencic of Switzerland in the semifinals, who then became champion. The victory brought Swiss star 500 ranking points and helped her climb to the 65th line.
Another Kazakhstani athlete Yulia Putintseva moved one spot up to №20.
Katerina Siniakova, Erin Routliffe, and Taylor Townsend still lead the WTA Doubles Rankings.
Kazakhstani Anna Danilina stayed at the 19th position. Putintseva landed the 107th position. Zhibek Kulambayeva – 160th line.
As reported earlier, Kazakhstani Elena Rybakina has considerably improved her position in the latest PIF Race to WTA Finals ranking.
