Kazakhstan’s Popko strolls into ATP Challenger main draw in Buenos Aires

In the 1^st round qualifying Popko eliminated Argentinian tennis player Alexis Gurmendi in three sets 6-4, 6-7, 6-3. He stunned another Argentinian Leonardo Abolan in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 in the 2^nd round qualifying.

The 27-year-old Popko will face Brazilian Orlando Luz in the first round of the tournament.

The Kazakhstani is currently ranked 417^th in the ATP Singles Rankings.
