Kazakhstan’s contribution to SCO budget to reduce to 15.2%

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree regarding Kazakhstan’s contribution to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Kazinform News Agency reports.

“To approve the attached draft Protocol of amendments to the Agreement on procedure for formation and utilization of the budget of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization dated December 1, 2017,” the decree reads.

The share of the SCO member states’ contributions will be as follows:

Belarus - 5,8%

India - 5,9%

Iran - 5,8%

Kazakhstan - 15,2%

China - 17,6%

Kyrgyzstan - 7,6%

Pakistan - 5,9%

Russia - 17,6%

Tajikistan - 6%

Uzbekistan - 12,6%.

Previously, the share of Kazakhstan’s contribution to the SCO budget stood at 16.4%.

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov signed the Protocol on behalf of Kazakhstan.

As reported, Olzhas Bektenov participated in the 23rd session of the Heads of Government Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Islamabad. Eight documents were signed following the meeting, including the decision on the Concept of Development of the New Economic Dialogue among the SCO member countries.
