Kazakhstan’s Assambek wins bronze at U20 World Wrestling Championships

Assambek finished third in the men’s freestyle 57kg category. In the bronze-medal bout, he defeated Uzbekistan’s Ulugbek Rashidov.

Kazakhstan’s Beibarys Yergali, competing in the 92kg category, finished fifth after losing to James Mastny of the United States.

Bekassyl Assambek, competing in the 61kg freestyle category, won a silver medal.

Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Kazakhstan’s Kazybek Kalmagambetov had won gold in the Greco-Roman wrestling -67 kg weight category at the U20 World Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia.
