Kazakhstan’s annual inflation slows down to 9.5% in January

The deputy chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Akylzhan Baimagambetov, said the annual inflation in January decelerated to 9.5%. Reduction of inflation in 2023 lets further continue to decrease the basic rate. In January it was lowered to 15.25%.
At the same time, annual inflation deceleration rates are reducing. The monthly inflation in January this year was above the historical average.
The business activity index in January rose to 49.7.
