Kazakhstanis come 59th in UN's World Happiness Report

ASTANA. April 5. KAZINFORM Experts of the Earth Institute presented the first ever World Happiness Report at the United Nations Conference on Happiness on April 2.

The report reviews the state of happiness in the world today including such criteria as political freedom, strong social networks, an absence of corruption, health. According to the authors, it reflects a new worldwide demand for more attention to happiness and absence of misery as criteria for government policy.

The World Happiness Report ranks Kazakhstan as the 59th happiest in the world, ahead of Russia (79th place), Belarus (62), Turkey (81), India (97), China (105).

The happiest countries in the world are Denmark, Norway, Finland. The least happy country is Togo.
