The Kazakhstan national team lost to Spain 0:28 in the semifinals and then lost to Ireland 5:17.
Thus, the Kazakhstan women's rugby 7s team finished the tournament at the fourth place, and only the winner could secure a trip to the Olympic Games. The Spanish team finished first.
