Kazakhstani tennis players learn their draw at Australian Open 2025
Four Kazakhstani tennis players are to compete at the Australian Open 2025 at Melbourne Park, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.
World No.6 Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan will face Australian Emerson Jones, 16, in the first round.
World No. 25 Yulia Putintseva is to step into the court against world No. 44 Elina Avanesyan of Armenia.
Kazakhstan’s Alexander Shevchenko (ranked 72nd) will vie against world No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz of Spain in the first round.
World No. 27 Alexander Bublik will play against Francisco Cerundolo (ranked 31st) of Argentina.
The Australian Open 2025 is set to run at Melbourne Park on January 12-26.
Earlier Kazinform News Agency reported that three Kazakhstani tennis players including Mikhail Kukushkin, Dmitry Popko, and Timofey Skatov were upset in the qualifying round of the Australian Open 2025.
