Kazakhstani professor receives Nobel medal
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Professor of the Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute Abilkhan Umbetov has been awarded with a gold medal named after Alfred Nobel for contribution to the development of inventions, Kazinform has learnt from Remarka.kz.
Abilkhan Umbetov, dean of the Natural Sciences and Informatization Department of the Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute, was among the 200 best teachers of higher education institutions in 2012. He also received a special prize of the Regional Philanthropists Club in Science nomination. And now Professor Umbetov won the recognition at the international level. The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences presented him with the gold medal named after Alfred Nobel for his contribution to the development of inventions in physics. The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences awards these medals for outstanding contribution to science, research, discoveries and inventions.
