Anuarbek Mussin, the General Commissioner of the Kazakh National Section at EXPO Milano 2015 made such statement at a press conference in Astana on Thursday. "Kazakhstan confirmed its participation in EXPO in Milan in 2012 and that is when the preparations started. The total budget of our pavilion exceeded €17 million," Mr. Mussin told the press conference at the Central Communications Service. He went on to add that the Kazakhstani pavilion is one of the most popular in Milan. "We work from 10:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. The pavilion is visited by up to 5,000 guests a day. It is very unique and full of colors with rich content, so the guests spend here up to 40-50 minutes of their time," Anuarbek Mussin added. "Due to its huge popularity, the pavilion works in three shifts and sometimes in four shifts. 150 people who work there are the heart of this pavilion, they ensure its smooth functioning," he noted. The Kazakhstani pavilion translates ears of wheat and rich agricultural resources into its architecture. The pavilion is divided into 6 zones dedicated to agriculture, live stock breeding, aquaculture, ecology, soil management and astonishing facts about Kazakhstan. Through interactive and multimedia technologies visitors learn more about history and culture of Kazakhstan and can even visit the famous Kazakh steppes. Kazakhstan collaborated with German firm Facts and Fiction to create the pavilion expressing the country's hospitality and openness to Italian and international visitors to EXPO 2015. The world exposition themed "Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life" opened this month in the northern Italian city of Milan and will run through October 31.
